The Flood Damage Restoration Process
All flood and/or water damage restoration cases are slightly different. Knowing the flood damage restoration process is critical to helping homeowners and property owners. The flood damage restoration is a seven step process to return your property back to pre-damaged conditions.
STEP 1 – Call or Contact
We are open 24/7 every day, even holidays! When you contact us through our website or call us directly we have staff ready and on call to quickly listen to your needs. We ask several critical questions to help us assist you. Our professional staff will guide you through these questions smoothly and with friendly compassion. Our Technicians will be dispatched immediately to get onsite and assess the damage.
STEP 2 – Investigation
Our highly trained Technicians will begin their inspection and assessment immediately with your permission. They start by using specialized meters on the water damaged areas to determine the extent of the damage and how they can prevent further damage. Once finished the Technician will have a thorough plan mitigate the damage. You are under no obligation to use our services after the investigation is complete.
STEP 3 – Mitigation and/or Removal
Once you approve the Technician to start the mitigation process they create a diagram of the affected area. Not all of the affected area is typically permanently damaged. If water or flood conditions exist our Technicians begin extraction using advanced water extraction techniques and specialized equipment.
STEP 4 – Advanced Structural Drying
Our certified Technicians will set air movers (fans) and dehumidifiers in place to prevent & sometimes reduce the water damage. This part saves you and the Insurance Company money. Removing the water and moisture in hard to access areas is accomplished through an advanced evaporation process sped along with our equipment. These drying techniques & methods are based in proven scientific processes.
STEP 5 – Anti-Microbial, Fungal Growth & Deodorizing
Water damage often causes secondary damages such as fungal growth (“Mold”), staining, and odors. Our Technicians use antimicrobial disinfectant on your surfaces to destroy and prevent various growth which could be harmful to the structure and persons living in the home or workers in an office. Deodorizing is accomplished using advanced ozone and other techniques.
STEP 6 – Contents Removal & Storing
When flood damage restoration is needed it usually requires the removal and storing of personal or business property such as furniture, appliances, office machines, decor, etc. We often remove and restore contents when replacement is not possible. Wet and damp environments are not good for many types of contents so removal and storage in a dry facility is necessary. Our facility has specifically designed rooms and storage.
STEP 7 – Restoration & Repair
The final step in the flood damage restoration process is the re-construction and/or “put-back.” This is when repairs to the property are finished and cabinetry re-built, re-installed, or replaced. Drywall is installed and painted to match the old. Floors are replaced to match the pre-damaged condition. Even entire rooms and living areas or offices can be rebuilt. At the end it is a flood damage restoration company like Pulido Cleaning & Restoration which can get you back to normal.
