The Flood Damage Restoration Process
All flood and water damage restoration cases are slightly different. Knowing the flood damage restoration process is critical to helping homeowners and property owners. Flood damage restoration is a seven-step process to return your property to pre-damaged conditions.
STEP 1 – Call or Contact
We are open 24/7 every day. Even holidays! We have a professional staff on call to quickly listen to your needs. We ask several critical questions to help assist you. We will guide you smoothly and with friendly compassion thru the restoration process. Our Technicians will be dispatched immediately to get onsite and assess the damage.
STEP 2 – Investigation
Our highly trained Technicians will begin their inspection and assessment immediately with your permission. They start by using specialized meters on the water damaged areas to determine the extent of the damage and how they can prevent further damage. Once finished the Technician will have a thorough plan mitigate the damage. You are under no obligation to use our services after the investigation is complete.
STEP 3 – Mitigation and Removal
Once you give your approval, our technicians start the mitigation process. First, we create a diagram of the affected area. Not all of the affected areas are typically permanently damaged. If water or flood conditions exist, our Technicians begin the extraction process. We use advanced water extraction techniques and specialized equipment.
STEP 4 – Advanced Structural Drying
Our certified Technicians will set air movers (fans) and dehumidifiers in place to prevent & sometimes reduce the water damage. This part saves you and the Insurance Company money. Removing the water and moisture in hard to access areas is accomplished through an advanced evaporation process sped along with our equipment. These drying techniques are based on a proven scientific method.
STEP 5 – Anti-Microbial, Fungal Growth & Deodorizing
Water damage often causes secondary damages. They can include fungal growth (“Mold”), staining, and odors. Our Technicians use antimicrobial disinfectant on your surfaces. Disinfectants destroy the growth of mold which is harmful to the structure and persons living in the home. Deodorizing is accomplished using advanced ozone and other techniques.
STEP 6 – Contents Removal & Storing
When flood damage restoration is needed it usually requires the removal and storing of personal or business property. This includes furniture, appliances, office machines, decor, etc. We often remove and restore contents when replacement is not possible. Wet and damp environments are not good for many types of contents. Removal and storage in a dry facility are necessary. Our facility has specifically designed rooms and storage.
STEP 7 – Restoration & Repair
The final step in the flood damage restoration process is “put-back.” “Put Back” refers to replacing your property after the repairs to the property are finished. Drywall is installed and painted to match the old. Floors are replaced to match the pre-damaged condition. Even entire rooms and living areas or offices can be rebuilt. At the end, it is a flood damage restoration company like Pulido Cleaning & Restoration which can get you back to normal.
